Independence Hall, Liberty Bell reopen after shutdown

Independence National Historic Park, which includes Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, is reopening Tuesday morning following the end of the government shutdown.

Valley Forge National Park also is expected to fully reopen. During the shutdown, the park’s grounds were open to the public, but all buildings were closed and programs suspended.

All other federal government offices that were closed during the shutdown also are reopening.
